Potential knows no borders.
THE GLOBAL CITIZENS GROWTH FUND
Imagine a school where children as young as three are not only learning to read and write but are also becoming fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish—two of the most widely spoken languages in the world. A place where they are nurtured to become empathetic, globally competent, and socially-minded leaders prepared for a future we cannot yet imagine. This is the vision of Global Citizens Public Charter School, the first dual-language immersion public charter elementary school in Washington, DC, offering both Mandarin Chinese-English and Spanish-English pathways.
Why Now? The Urgent Need for Investment
Despite the presence of 25 dual-language immersion schools in Washington, DC, Wards 7 and 8 remain underserved, with very limited access to such transformative programs. Global Citizens PCS was founded in Ward 7 to change this, ensuring children east of the Anacostia River have the same opportunities to become bilingual and globally competent as their peers elsewhere.
The Growth Fund Propelling Us Forward
Your support will make it possible to:
Purchase or lease portable classrooms until a permanent facility is secured.
Pay off our renovation loan before it balloons in June 2026.
Build a growing unrestricted fund.
This will allow for consistency and stability for our students and families.
“Our family is in love with the mission, vision, and culture of Global Citizens, where our children are learning to see the world through a broader lens and care about the humanity of others. We are thrilled to see them thrive in such a nurturing environment and excited to watch the school grow.”
