Robin Roopnarine, Esq. is currently the Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Loudoun County, where he prosecutes felony, misdemeanor, and traffic charges in Loudoun County. Robin has over 20 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies. He provided the following services: internal/external auditing, management consulting, and tax advising. He is an active member of the Virginia State Bar and a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Robin is knowledgeable about standard financial and accounting practices. He previously served as a finance committee member on a board. In that capacity, he reviewed monthly financials and monitored variances between the budget and actuals, as well as participated in an annual audit process. Robin has traveled to over 60 countries and has a working knowledge of geopolitical issues. He cares about and advocates for the following: international human rights, US constitutional issues as they relate to individual rights, humanitarian aid, immigration and refugee challenges, tax reform, criminal justice reform, mental health and wellness, homelessness, etc. Robin previously served as a substitute teacher for several school districts.
