Sean Flora, Founding Director of Student Support & Family Engagement

Sean Flora is the Founding Director of Student Support & Family Engagement at Global Citizens Public Charter School. Sean previously served for two years as the Founding Director of Operations at Global Citizens Public Charter School, and was influential in the development and implementation of operational systems and structures to ensure all students had equal access to resources that drive student success. Prior to his tenure at Global Citizens, he served as the Director of Operations at Statesmen College Preparatory Academy for Boys in Ward 8 of Washington, DC, where he also joined the organization during its founding year. Prior to this, Sean served as the Director of Operations at Sela Public Charter School, the District’s only Hebrew language immersion public school.

Sean earned his Masters in Business Administration from University of Maryland, University College and his Bachelors of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Sean is a proud husband and father to two sons, and he is excited to be a founding administrator and parent, as they both are students at Global Citizens Public Charter School. He is a native Washingtonian and a Ward 5 resident.
