Sean Flora, Chief of Staff

Sean Flora is the Chief of Staff at Global Citizens Public Charter School. Sean previously served for two years as the Founding Director of Student Support & Family Engagement, and an additional two years as the Founding Director of Operations at Global Citizens Public Charter School. During this time, he was influential in the development and implementation of operational systems and structures to ensure all students had equal access to resources that drive student success. Prior to his tenure at Global Citizens, Sean served as the Director of Operations at Statesmen College Preparatory Academy for Boys in Ward 8 of Washington, DC, where he also joined the organization during its founding year. Prior to this, Sean served as the Director of Operations at Sela Public Charter School, the District’s only Hebrew language immersion public school.

Sean earned his Masters in Business Administration from University of Maryland, University College and his Bachelors of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Sean is a proud husband and father to two sons, and he is excited to be a founding administrator and a “forever founding parent”, as his students were both students at Global Citizens Public Charter School in prior years. He is a native Washingtonian and a product of the DC Public and Public Charter School system.
